Materials & Care
Solid European Oak. Crafted from 100% solid European oak — not veneer, not laminate — selected for stability and natural character.
Natural oil finish. The surface is protected with carefully selected natural oils that enhance the wood's grain while allowing it to breathe. It stays matte, warm, and tactile — designed to age beautifully.
Care. Dust with a soft, dry cloth. If needed, wipe gently with a slightly damp cloth, always along the grain, and dry immediately. No chemical cleaners (no detergents, alcohol, bleach, or abrasives).
Humidity matters. Solid oak responds to humidity. Keep indoor humidity around 45–55% to help prevent cracking, warping, or surface stress.
Renewal. To refresh the surface over time, re-apply OAKO Wood Oil.

Where do you ship to?
We deliver across all of Europe, the UK, Switzerland, and Norway. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout, and there are no hidden fees or surprise VAT charges outside the EU.
Can I pay in my local currency?
Yes. All orders on our website are processed in EUR (€). If you prefer to pay in your local currency, simply choose the Manual Payment option at checkout, and we will send you a secure payment link in your currency.
Can I deduct VAT if I have a company in the EU?
Yes. If you have a valid EU company VAT number, you can buy without VAT (reverse charge). At checkout, please:
- Fill in your company name and VAT number in the Company (optional) field.
- Select Manual Payment as your payment method.
We’ll verify your VAT number and send you a VAT-free invoice with a secure payment link in your currency.
How long does delivery take?
We don’t keep stock — every desk is built after you place your order, just for you. Crafting, finishing, and checking your desk takes around 25-35 working days. If you’d like, we can also send photos of your exact desk before it leaves our workshop.
What warranty do I get with my desk?
Every desk is covered by our 10-year limited warranty. That includes the oak top, the steel frame, and the electronics.
How do I care for the oak desktop?
The tops are finished with natural hard-wax oil. Day to day, just wipe with a dry & soft cloth. Small marks can be blended back in with a little oil.
Do I need to assemble the desk myself?
Yes. Every desk requires light assembly. The desktop comes pre-drilled, so all screw points are ready — Solid desks and Alive desks have pre-drilled holes. Recommended electric screwdriver (no drill required). Setup takes around 20-30 minutes, and we recommend having a second person help when turning the desk upright.
What weight can the desk hold?
The frame handles up to 160 kg in daily use — not counting the oak top itself (20–40 kg depending on model & size). So you can safely load it with dual screens, heavy PCs, speakers, and more. If you’re unsure about your exact setup, just contact us and we’ll help calculate it for you.
